The manga adaptation of The Saintess Recruited a Doting King Husband, illustrated by Coma Hashii, is reaching its conclusion. Square Enix’s Manga UP! platform announced that the series will end with its 24th chapter, with the initial portion of the final installment debuting on the service this past Sunday.
Adapted from the web novel by Yuuri Seo, the series follows Stacy, a powerful saintess who attempts to avoid a politically motivated marriage by creating a list of eight impossible, self-indulgent demands for a prospective partner. Her plan to remain single hits an unexpected snag when the King himself steps forward, claiming to meet every one of her criteria and initiating a royal engagement.
Hashii launched the manga adaptation on Manga UP! in 2023, building upon the original web novel that debuted on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform in May 2022. Square Enix has been actively curating the franchise, having released the fifth compiled volume of the manga on March 6. The original light novel series, featuring illustrations by Masami, continues to be published by Square Enix, with the second volume arriving in late 2023.
