A full promotional video and new key visual for the upcoming television anime adaptation of The Ogre's Bride (Oni no Hanayome) light novel series have been released, officially announcing the anime's theme song performers and a July 4 premiere. The video showcases the opening theme "Hitokoto" by the popular music trio ClariS, with the song set for digital release on July 5. Ikusaburō Yamazaki will perform the ending theme "Shinboshi."
Several new staff members have also joined the production. MAI MAI is handling Art Director and Art Setting duties, Akiko Shibata is the Color Key Artist, and Tomoyoshi Ishizuka is the Compositing Director of Photography. Junichi Itou is on editing, with Kazuhiro Wakabayashi serving as Sound Director, and Rakuonsha handling sound production.
The anime is set to broadcast in Japan starting July 4 at 24:30 JST on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV, and will be available on streaming services including d Anime Store, ABEMA, U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai. The series follows Yuzu, an ordinary high school student whose life takes a dramatic turn when an ogre claims her as his bride in a world where humans and demons coexist.
Directed by Kazuhito Ōmiya at Colored Pencil Animation Japan, the cast includes Saori Hayami as Yuzu Shinonome and Yūichirō Umehara as Reiya Kiryuin. The light novel series, which has over 5.8 million copies in circulation across its light novel and manga adaptations, also recently inspired a live-action film released in March.
