The television anime adaptation of The Oblivious Saint Can't Contain Her Power has unveiled five additional cast members, bolstering its ensemble ahead of its June 30 premiere. Mitsuru Miyamoto, Kōsuke Toriumi, Hana Tamegai, Hiroki Tōchi, and Sayaka Ōhara are set to join the fantasy series. The anime will debut on AT-X at 10:00 p.m., with subsequent broadcasts on Tokyo MX, BS11, Tochigi TV, and Gunma TV. International audiences can stream the series on Crunchyroll.
The series stars Rie Takahashi as the titular Carolina and Makoto Furukawa as Edward, with Haruka Shiraishi, Shunichi Toki, Inori Minase, Ruby Martinez, and Nobuhiko Okamoto also in key roles. The newly announced cast members will portray supporting characters in the story of Lady Carolina, an overlooked noble thrust into a political marriage.
Directed by Mitsutaka Noshitani, known for his work on The Strongest Tank's Labyrinth Raids, the anime is produced by Magic Bus and Picante Circus. Tōko Machida is handling series scripts, and Taihei Nagai is designing the characters. The animation studio is Magic Bus. The musical score is composed by SUPA LOVE.
The Oblivious Saint Can't Contain Her Power is based on the light novel series by Almond and Yoshiro Ambe, which concluded its print run in June 2023. An ongoing manga adaptation by Yona Etou also exists. J-Novel Club publishes both the light novels and manga in English.
