Aniplex has unveiled a new video clip for the upcoming anime film, The Irregular at Magic High School THE MOVIE - Yotsuba Succession Arc -, showcasing Miyuki Shiba. The film is set to debut in Japan on May 8.
Attendees at the film's premiere screening on April 28 were treated to a special preview. For the first four weeks of its theatrical run, moviegoers will receive exclusive original novels penned by series creator Tsutomu Satou, featuring new illustrations by Kana Ishida. These limited-edition novels include titles such as "Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: UFO Geigeki" and "Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei: Kokū Diver."
The production is helmed by director Jimmy Stone at Studio 8-Bit, with music composed by Taku Iwasaki. Tsutomu Satou and Kana Ishida return for original story and character design, respectively. The returning voice cast includes Yūichi Nakamura as Tatsuya Shiba and Saori Hayami as Miyuki Shiba, joined by Chiwa Saitō as Maya Yotsuba and Emiri Katō as Fumiya Kuroba. New additions to the cast feature Daisuke Ono as Katsushige Shibata and Ai Kayano as Yuuka Tsukuba. The film's theme song, "YES," is performed by LiSA.
The Irregular at Magic High School franchise, which began with Tsutomu Satou's light novels in 2008, has seen multiple anime adaptations, including two TV seasons and the 2017 film The Girl Who Summons the Stars. The most recent TV season, The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3, aired in Spring 2024 and was streamed by Crunchyroll.
