The June issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine has marked the conclusion of two manga series based on The Irregular at Magic High School light novels. Yuzuki N Dash's MahÅka KÅkÅ no RettÅsei: Escape-hen and Mei Higuchi's MahÅka KÅkÅ no RettÅsei: DÅran no JoshÅ-hen both published their final chapters this month.
Escape-hen, which adapted the 24th and 25th volumes of the original light novels, launched in January 2023. Its fifth compiled volume will release on May 27. Meanwhile, DÅran no JoshÅ-hen, adapting the 21st and 22nd novels, also debuted in January 2023. The sixth and final volume for this series is likewise set for a May 27 release.
These manga conclusions arrive shortly before the premiere of a new anime film, MahÅka KÅkÅ no RettÅsei: Yotsuba KeishÅ-hen (The Irregular at Magic High School THE MOVIE - Yotsuba Succession Arc -), which is scheduled to open in Japan on May 8. The original light novel series by Tsutomu Satou concluded in 2020, but has since seen multiple anime seasons and films, with the third TV season airing in Spring 2024 and streaming on Crunchyroll.
