The television anime adaptation of The Insipid Prince's Furtive Grab for The Throne is set to premiere on July 6. A second promotional video, released today, offers a glimpse of the series and previews the opening theme song "Script" by dance-vocal group BUDDiiS. Idol group Kurawan will perform the ending theme, titled "Suteki na Kanchigai" (A Wonderful Mistake).

The series will first air on Tokyo MX at 8:57 p.m. JST, followed by BS Fuji at midnight JST. Japanese streaming services ABEMA, d Anime Store, U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai will also begin carrying the anime on July 6.

The story follows Arnold Lakes Adler, the seventh prince of the Adrasia Empire, who is perceived as "insipid" due to his genius twin brother. However, Arnold secretly operates as SILVER, an elite adventurer, manipulating events from the shadows to support his brother's claim to the throne. The cast includes Yūma Uchida as Arnold, Kikunosuke Toya as his brother Leonard, and Manaka Iwami as Fine von Kleinert. Yūji Yanase is directing the anime at Maho Film, with Kazuyuki Fudeyasu handling series scripts and Kazuko Tadano on character designs.

The Insipid Prince's Furtive Grab for The Throne originated as a web novel by Tanba before being published as a light novel by Kadokawa. A manga adaptation by Yukino Amagai is also ongoing. The 16th volume of the light novel series shipped in April, and the 10th volume of the manga adaptation is scheduled for release on July 10.
