The official website for the upcoming anime adaptation of The Insipid Prince's Furtive Grab for The Throne has unveiled its first promotional video, offering a glimpse into the fantasy series. The video also announced four new additions to the cast: Atsushi Tamaru as Eric Lakes Adler, Ryōta Takeuchi as Gordon Lakes Adler, Mitsuki Saiga as Zandora Lakes Adler, and Kazuhiko Inoue as Johannes Lakes Adler.

The anime, which is based on the light novel series by Tanba and Yuunagi, is slated to premiere in July. The previously announced main cast includes Yūma Uchida as Arnold Lakes Adler, Kikunosuke Toya as Leonard Lakes Adler, Manaka Iwami as Fine von Kleinert, Maaya Uchida as Elna von Amsberg, and Kaede Hondo as Lynfia.

Directed by Yūji Yanase, known for his work on By the Grace of the Gods, the anime is being produced by Maho Film. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is overseeing the series scripts, with character designs by veteran artist Kazuko Tadano. The story follows Arnold Lakes Adler, the seventh prince of the Adrasia Empire, who is secretly a powerful adventurer while appearing incompetent to maintain his brother's claim to the throne.

Kadokawa publishes both the light novel and its manga adaptation. The series originally launched on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in February 2019. The anime adaptation is expected to adapt the fantasy tale of political intrigue and secret identities.
