The upcoming anime adaptation of The Insipid Prince's Furtive Grab for The Throne has added Yoshitsugu Matsuoka and Ai Kayano to its voice cast. Matsuoka will portray Traugott Lakes Adler, while Kayano will voice Mitsuba. The series is set to debut on July 6, airing on Tokyo MX and BS Fuji in Japan.
Internationally, the anime will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll. Japanese audiences can also catch the series on ABEMA, d Anime Store, U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai starting July 6. The story follows Arnold Lakes Adler, the seventh Imperial Prince, who secretly operates as the powerful adventurer SILVER to support his brother's claim to the throne, all while a beautiful lady becomes his assistant.
Directed by Yūji Yanase at Maho Film, the production also features series scripts by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu and character designs by Kazuko Tadano. The main cast includes Yūma Uchida as Arnold and Kikunosuke Toya as his twin brother, Leonard. The opening theme, "Script," is performed by BUDDiiS, with Kurawan providing the ending theme, "Suteki na Kanchigai."
The light novel series by Tanba and Yuunagi began publication in September 2019, with its 16th volume released in April. An ongoing manga adaptation by Yukino Amagai launched on Kadokawa's Young Ace Up website, and its 10th volume is slated for release on July 10. Source: Anime News Network
