The second season of The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World is officially set to return this fall, with a premiere scheduled for October 8 at 1:23 a.m. on TBS. The announcement arrives alongside a new main promotional video, which offers a first look at the returning cast and introduces several new characters joining the Arnold Academy of Magic. Crunchyroll has confirmed it will stream the series as it airs in Japan.
Production for the second season sees a notable shift, with studio Zero-G taking over animation duties from the first season's studio, Cloud Hearts. Director Masahiro Takata remains at the helm, continuing his work on series composition and sound direction. The production team also features a new character designer in Mariko Kawamoto, who replaces Makoto Shimojima. Among the cast updates, Miyu Kubota steps into the role of Elisa Griffith, taking over for Nana Harumura following her retirement earlier this year.
Returning fans will recognize the core ensemble, including Junya Enoki as Ray White, alongside Iori Saeki and Akira Sekine. The series, based on the light novels by Nana Mikoshiba, continues to follow the unassuming Ray White as he navigates the elite Arnold Academy. While the original manga adaptation concluded earlier this year with its 16th volume, the franchise remains active through the ongoing sequel manga that launched this past May.
With the studio transition and a new character designer, the second season aims to refresh the visual identity of the series. It remains to be seen how these production changes will influence the pacing of the upcoming arc compared to the 2023 debut season.
