Science SARU's upcoming television anime adaptation of The Ghost in the Shell has unveiled its fourth promotional video. Released by Bandai Namco Filmworks, the new trailer offers a preview of the series' ending theme song, titled "Blue," performed by the musical collective MILLENNIUM PARADE featuring Saya Gray, Daniel Caesar.
The anime is set to premiere on July 7, airing on the new "Ka-Anival!!" anime block on Kansai TV and Fuji TV. Before its broadcast debut, the first two episodes will have their global premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June. Additionally, fans attending Anime Expo on July 4 can catch a screening of these initial episodes, followed by a panel with director Mokochan and character designer Shūhei Handa.
Amazon Prime Video will handle worldwide streaming for The Ghost in the Shell, excluding Russia and China, with Japan receiving an early exclusive period. Mokochan, known for his work on DAN DA DAN and The Heike Story, makes his directorial debut for the series at Science SARU. Toh Enjoe is penning the scripts, while Shūhei Handa is responsible for character designs and chief animation direction. The music is composed by Taisei Iwasaki, Ryō Konishi, and Yuki Kanesaka.
