A third promotional video for the The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects anime has arrived, offering a fresh look at the upcoming series and revealing additional cast members. The new video also previews the opening theme song "Wonder" performed by the Japanese-Korean pop-rock band CROWN HEAD.
Joining the previously announced cast are Minami Tsuda as Canise, Takuma Terashima as Richard, Shōya Chiba as Meiser, and Kentarō Kumagai as Zorg. The anime stars Kenichirō Matsuda as Dias and Shion Wakayama as Alna. Animation studio42 is producing the series, with Kenichi Imaizumi directing and Kunihiko Okada overseeing the scripts. Keiichi Tsuboyama is handling character designs.
The series will make its debut early on Prime Video in Japan on July 3, before its television premiere a week later. It is scheduled to begin airing on Tokyo MX on July 10 at 10:30 p.m., followed by MBS on July 11, BS Asahi on July 12, and AT-X on July 14.
The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects adapts Fuurou's light novel series, which follows Dias, a hero returning from decades of war only to be granted a desolate domain with zero inhabitants. Tasked with building a prosperous territory from scratch, Dias must learn to manage his new life with the help of Alna, a mysterious horned girl who reveals the hidden potential of the plains. The franchise has surpassed two million copies in circulation.
