The second promotional video for The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World has arrived, offering a preview of the series' ending theme song, "Holy Sweet Home" by Onkan Lemonade. The anime, based on Yoneori's light novel series, is animated by EMT Squared.
The series is set to premiere on July 6 at 11:00 p.m. JST on AT-X, followed by broadcasts on BS NTV and CBC TV. It will also stream in Japan on services including ABEMA, d Anime Store, and U-NEXT. International viewers can find the anime on HIDIVE in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. The North American premiere is scheduled for July 4 at Anime Expo.
Directed by Atsushi Nigorikawa, the anime features a cast including Sora Tokui as Rin Takanashi and Yūki Ono as Vil. The story follows Rin, a thirty-year-old who loves camping and RPGs. Summoned as a saint, her skills are deemed useless and she's exiled, only to discover their value in surviving and cooking in the wilderness. With her camper van skill, she embarks on a solo culinary road trip, meeting companions along the way.
The light novels, which began serialization online in 2019, are illustrated by Akane Nitou. The seventh novel volume is slated for release on July 10, while the manga adaptation by Nana Kogami launched in 2020. The opening theme, "Butterfly," is performed by INUWASI.
