The Dangers in My Heart (Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu) is officially entering its final stretch. According to the latest update from the 196th chapter, creator Norio Sakurai will conclude the beloved romantic comedy in just three more installments. The series, which began its run in 2018, is slated to wrap up with the release of its 14th compiled book volume.

Since its debut, the manga has become a standout title in the genre, currently holding an 8.21 rating on MyAnimeList from over 227,000 voters. The story of the socially awkward Kyoutarou Ichikawa and his unexpected bond with class idol Anna Yamada resonated deeply with readers, eventually leading to a successful two-season anime adaptation produced by Shin-Ei Animation.

Beyond the main manga, the franchise has expanded significantly, including a light novel adaptation, the Twi-Yaba spin-off, and the recent spin-off series The Dangers in My Heart: A Romantic Comedy Will Not Start. Following the theatrical release of the compilation film earlier this year, fans still have more to look forward to, as a third season of the anime is already in production for a 2027 release.
