A new promotional video for The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch anime has arrived, offering a glimpse into the series' upcoming second half. The video not only showcases new footage but also reveals the new opening theme song, "∞Rettō-Sei" (Infinitely Inferior Star), performed by singer Akari Nanawo. This marks a shift in the anime's musical direction as it heads into its second cours.

Alongside the musical update, the production team announced that comedian Attack Nishimoto will join the voice cast as Ursa Minor, a student at the Virgo Magic school. Ursa Minor is slated to make his debut in episode 13. The series follows Spica Virgo, a witch apprentice who struggles with magic, and a talking black cat cursed by a spell. Their pact to achieve their respective goals—Spica's entry into magic school and the cat's curse removal—forms the core of their secret master-apprentice relationship.

Directed by Naoyuki Tatsuwa at LIDEN FILMS, The Classroom of a Black Cat and a Witch is adapted from Yōsuke Kaneda's manga. The anime premiered on April 12 and is set for a continuous two-cours run. It airs in the "Agaru Anime" programming block on CBC and TBS, with Crunchyroll handling streaming for international audiences. The original manga launched in March 2022 and is published in English by Kodansha's K MANGA service.
