The Cat and the Dragon anime series has unveiled its second promotional video, a new key visual, and three additional cast members. The series is slated to premiere in July.
Joining the previously announced cast are Atsumi Tanezaki as Gally, Chika Anzai as Anne Rossa, and Junya Enoki as Stan. They will appear alongside Takehito Koyasu as Nekoryū, Kikuko Inoue as Mama-nyan, Fūka Izumi as Shirotae, Show Hayami as Kurobane, Noriaki Sugiyama as Haibuchi, Maki Kawase as Chiikuro, and Shinnosuke Tokudome as Kurotama.
The anime is directed by Jin-Koo Oh at OLM, with series scripts by Mitsutaka Hirota. Character designs are handled by Rie Nishino and Chiaki Kurakazu, music composition by Takahiro Obata, and sound direction by Noriyoshi Konuma.
The The Cat and the Dragon anime is based on Amara's fantasy novels, which debuted as a web novel in 2013 and have since surpassed one million copies sold. A manga adaptation by Izumi Sasaki has also been serialized since 2017.
