Crunchyroll has revealed the English dub cast for the second season of The Beginning After the End anime, set to premiere this Wednesday, April 15. The series, an adaptation of TurtleMe's web novel and webcomic, follows the journey of King Grey, reborn as Arthur Leywin, who retains his past life's wisdom as he navigates a magical world.
The English dub features Amber May as Arthur, Sarah Wiedenheft as Jasmine, and Christopher Wehkamp as Grey. Other notable cast members include Colleen Clinkenbeard as Alice, Kayla Temshiv as Baby Sylvie, and Drew Breedlove as Lucas. Jonathan Rigg serves as the voice director, with Samantha Herek producing and Heather Walker handling the adaptation.
The 24-episode second season began airing in Japan on April 1 as part of the +Ultra programming block. Crunchyroll is streaming the season concurrently with its Japanese broadcast. The first season, which premiered in April 2024, was also streamed by Crunchyroll worldwide outside of Asia and featured English and French dubs.
The Beginning After the End is noted as the first anime adaptation of an American web novel and webcomic. The original web novel debuted on Tapas in January 2017, followed by the webcomic adaptation in July 2018. Yen Press is publishing the webcomic in print, with its 10th volume released on February 24.
