The heartwarming slice-of-life romance "The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten" is officially returning for a second season. Animation studio Project No.9, which handled the first season, is set to produce the new installment, slated for a Spring 2026 release.
The series, adapted from Saekisan's popular light novel of the same name, follows Amane Fujimiya and Mahiru Shiina, neighbors who find themselves growing closer after an unexpected encounter. Known for its gentle pacing and focus on domestic bliss, the show resonated with fans, earning a MAL score of 8.24.
Season two will continue the story of the "perfect, unattainable angel" Mahiru and the ordinary high schooler Amane as their relationship deepens. Fans can expect more of the "iyashikei" (healing) elements that defined the first season, further exploring the tender dynamic between the two protagonists.
