Manga artist Renji Morita, co-creator of That's My Atypical Girl, is set to launch a new series titled Makanai Deka no Chōshu Meshi (The Detective's Meal During Questioning) on May 24. The announcement was made via Kodansha's YanMaga Web website and Morita's own X (formerly Twitter) account.
The upcoming manga will be a gourmet comedy focusing on detective Mitsuki Kunimura. Kunimura's unique investigative method involves preparing delicious meals for suspects, achieving a perfect confession rate after his culinary interrogations.
Morita previously collaborated with Sōhachi Hagimoto on That's My Atypical Girl, which ran on the Comic Days website from 2018 until its conclusion in January 2021. Kodansha published twelve compiled volumes of the series, with Kodansha USA handling the digital English release.
