The second season of Reincarnated as a Sword (Tensei shitara Ken deshita) is locked in for an October 8 debut. The announcement, accompanied by a new key visual and a second promotional video, confirms the series will air across Tokyo MX, ABC TV, BS Asahi, and AT-X. The latest trailer offers a first listen to the new musical lineup, featuring the opening theme "DREAM OF BUTTERFLY" by FZMZ and the ending theme "Baribari Buddy" by HANABIE.

Expanding the cast for the upcoming season, Shiori Izawa and Show Hayami have joined the production. Izawa will voice the character Nanashi, while Hayami takes on the role of Lich. These additions join a returning core production staff, with director Shinji Ishihira once again leading the project at studio C2C. Takahiro Nagano is managing series composition, while Atsuko Saitou returns for character design and Yasuharu Takanashi handles the musical score.

This new season builds on the foundation laid by the 12-episode adaptation that premiered in Fall 2022. The franchise, based on Yuu Tanaka’s ongoing light novel series, has seen significant expansion since its inception on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in 2015. With the original light novels, the primary manga adaptation, and the Another Wish spin-off manga all currently licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment, the series remains a staple of the isekai fantasy genre as it heads into its second season.
