Bandai Namco has unveiled the gameplay debut for Roger Jr., the latest addition to the Tekken 8 Season 3 roster. The kangaroo combatant is set to hit the game in early access on November 11, followed by a full release on November 16. The reveal comes via a new gameplay trailer that highlights the character's signature moveset and updated visual design.
Beyond the immediate arrival of Roger Jr., the trailer offered a teaser for the next major crossover: Yūjirō Hanma from the Baki manga and anime series. While the character's full gameplay reveal is being saved for the Tekken World Tour Finals in Singapore on January 17, his inclusion expands the game's guest roster. Yūjirō is currently slated for a full debut in early 2027.
These additions continue a busy post-launch cycle for the title, which originally hit PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in January 2024. The game has maintained a steady cadence of DLC fighters since its launch, including notable additions like Eddy Gordo, Lidia Sobieska, and a crossover with Final Fantasy XVI protagonist Clive Rosfield. Following the departure of long-time director Kohei Ikeda earlier this year, the development team continues to push forward with these high-profile character drops.
