The upcoming adaptation of Tank Chair, based on Manabu Yashiro's intense action manga, has received a major update including its first promotional video, a key visual, and a finalized broadcast schedule. The series is set to hit Japanese airwaves on October 4, with airings confirmed for Tokyo MX, BS11, CBC, and MBS.
Leading the voice cast are Yurina Amami as Dr. Radio and Gen Satou as Uzu. They are joined by a veteran supporting cast that includes Nobuyuki Hiyama as Gorou Arashiyama, Houchuu Ootsuka as Ryou Takanashi, and Tetsu Inada as Yoshitsune. The newly released trailer offers a glimpse into the series' high-stakes atmosphere, while also providing a first listen to the opening theme song, "DALALA," performed by the rock band SiM. The ending theme, "SYNC," will be provided by singer Daoko.
The production is being handled by Polygon Pictures, with Tadahiro Yoshihira and Hiroaki Andou co-directing the project and overseeing the script. Yoshihira is also credited with series composition, while Yuuki Moriyama handles character design. The technical team is rounded out by a deep roster of supervisors focusing on CG, modeling, and rigging, reflecting the studio's extensive experience with 3D animation.
Originally serialized on the Magazine Pocket platform before moving to Monthly Shounen Sirius, Tank Chair has gained traction for its unique premise and visceral action sequences. Kodansha USA currently manages the English-language release of the manga, which has reached ten volumes in Japan as of early 2025.
