Tank Chair, the high-octane action series based on Manabu Yashiro’s manga, is locked in for an October 4 debut. A newly released promotional video showcases the series' intense aesthetic while confirming the broadcast schedule, which kicks off on Tokyo MX at 11:00 p.m. JST, followed by runs on BS11, CBC, and MBS throughout the weekend.
The trailer also highlights the show's musical identity, previewing the high-energy opening theme "DALALA" from reggae-punk band SiM, while confirming that artist Daoko will provide the ending theme, "SYNC." These tracks underscore the series' premise: a violent, unconventional journey of recovery featuring Nagi Taira, an elite assassin confined to a wheelchair, and his sister Shizuka, who triggers his killer instincts to keep him alive.
Production at Polygon Pictures is being led by co-directors Tadahiro Yoshihira and Hiroaki Ando, who are also handling the series composition. The latest update expands the production team with an extensive list of supervisors for CG, modeling, and environment design, signaling a heavy reliance on the studio's signature 3D animation style. Character designs are provided by Yūki Moriyama, with a score composed by Masaru Yokoyama.
Rounding out the cast are Yurina Amami as the reclusive scientist Dr. Radio and Gen Sato as the mysterious academy recruit Uzu. They join a lead cast featuring Kōki Uchiyama as Nagi and Minori Fujidera as Shizuka. With the manga currently serialized in Monthly Shonen Sirius and available via Kodansha’s K MANGA service, the anime aims to capture the same kinetic, gritty energy that has defined the source material since its 2022 debut.
