Bandai Namco Filmworks has unveiled a second main promotional video for the upcoming Tank Chair anime, offering a deeper look at the high-stakes world of the Taira siblings. The new trailer also confirms that veteran voice actor Megumi Ogata will join the cast as Sensei, the formidable founder of the "Academy" who serves as a central antagonist with an imposing presence.
Ogata is scheduled to make a special appearance at an advanced screening of the series held at Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas on September 24. The production team behind the adaptation includes directors Tadahiro Yoshihira and Hiroaki Ando, with the animation handled by Polygon Pictures. The series features a robust musical lineup, with the opening theme "DALALA" performed by the reggae-punk band SiM and the ending theme "SYNC" by Daoko.
Following its October 4 premiere on Tokyo MX, the series will roll out across BS11, CBC, and MBS. The story follows Shizuka Taira as she navigates a brutal underworld, attempting to rouse her comatose, assassin brother Nagi by placing him in life-or-death situations. Fans of the original manga by Manabu Yashiro can follow the series via Kodansha's K MANGA service, while those interested in the source material's history can find the first ten volumes currently available in print.
