The talent agency Intention has announced it will cease operations on March 31, 2027. Founder and veteran voice actor Kenichi Suzumura shared that the decision stems from his ongoing struggle with adjustment disorder. According to the agency, medical professionals advised that Suzumura’s health is unlikely to improve while he remains responsible for the company's management duties.

Despite the upcoming closure, the agency confirmed that all business operations will proceed as normal until the final dissolution date. The company has pledged to provide full support to its roster of affiliated talent as they transition to new arrangements. The agency's current lineup includes prominent industry figures such as Yūichi Nakamura, Aya Endō, Nao Tōyama, and Yūma Uchida.

Suzumura, who launched the agency in 2009, has faced several health-related hiatuses in recent years, including a period of leave in early 2024. While he began a gradual return to his voice acting roles this past June, the long-term demands of running a talent management firm proved incompatible with his recovery. With over 15 years of history, the agency's departure will change the professional landscape for the many performers who have built their careers under its banner.
