Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump is set to debut a high-profile collaboration in its upcoming 40th issue, arriving August 31. The new series, titled Ura no Report, brings together the creative talents of Shun Numa, known for his work on Super Psychic Policeman Chojo, and Yūshin Kuroki, the artist behind Teenage Renaissance! David. Numa is credited with the original story, while Kuroki is handling the illustrations.
The series is billed as a youth love comedy centered on Ura Onigashima, a stunningly beautiful girl who carries the bloodline of demons. The plot hinges on an unbelievable secret she is rumored to be hiding, providing a central mystery for the romantic narrative to explore.
This project arrives as Numa prepares for the television anime adaptation of his previous hit, Super Psychic Policeman Chojo, which is scheduled to premiere on October 6. Kuroki, meanwhile, returns to the magazine’s pages following the conclusion of his satirical work, Teenage Renaissance! David, in 2019. The team-up represents a fresh addition to the magazine's current roster as it continues to cycle in new talent.
