Suikoden: Star Leap is officially arriving on mobile devices in Japan on August 7. Konami confirmed the release date for iOS and Android, though details regarding the previously announced PC version via Steam and a potential international launch remain under wraps.

Set in the timeline between the events of Suikoden V and the original 1995 title, the game follows the son of a village chief who embarks on a quest to restore peace after a sudden, devastating assault. The narrative centers on the 'Rune of Change,' one of the series' 27 True Runes. Konami has confirmed the main story will be fully voiced, with Kaho Nakamura providing the theme song, 'Campanella.'

Beyond the game itself, the franchise is expanding its footprint with a manga adaptation illustrated by Aki Shimizu, known for the Suikoden III manga, which is scheduled for a November 5 release. These developments follow the successful March 2025 launch of the Suikoden I&II HD Remaster collection across all major consoles and PC.

This new chapter arrives as the franchise prepares for further multimedia growth. An anime adaptation of Suikoden II, directed by Yūzō Satō at KONAMI animation, is slated for an October debut. With the series spanning five main installments and numerous spin-offs, these new projects aim to bridge the gap between the classic PS1-era titles and a modern audience.
