During the latest State of Play livestream, Osaka-based developer GPTrack50 debuted the third trailer for their upcoming action game, Stupid Never Dies. The footage highlights the game's unique premise, which follows a timid zombie named Davy on a quest to resurrect his companion, Julia, and take her on a date. Alongside the new look at the gameplay, the studio confirmed that a two-hour playable demo is available immediately, with the added benefit of allowing players to carry over their save data to the full version.
Set for a global release on October 21—with an October 22 rollout in select regions—the title is being distributed by Sega for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. The game features a distinct musical identity, with the opening theme "Stupid Never Dies" performed by the main characters Davy and Julia, and an ending theme, "Restless, Reckless, Never Die, Fearless," performed by Davy.
This project marks a notable effort from GPTrack50, which was established by industry veteran Hiroyuki Kobayashi. Kobayashi brings significant experience to the production, having previously served as a producer on major franchises including the original Resident Evil series, Dino Crisis, Devil May Cry, and Sengoku Basara. In addition to the base game, players can look forward to the "TickTock Teddies: Nonsense Overload Pack" DLC.
