Studio Trigger has officially announced a new anime project helmed by the acclaimed director Hiroyuki Imaishi and screenwriter Kazuki Nakashima. The news broke during the studio's panel at Anime Expo, confirming the return of this legendary creative duo.

This marks the fourth collaboration between Imaishi and Nakashima, who have previously delivered fan-favorite titles such as Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, and the film Promare. While specific details about the new project remain under wraps, the involvement of Hiromi Wakabayashi has also been confirmed.

The announcement builds on the success of their previous works, particularly the visually stunning Promare, which saw a wide theatrical release in Japan and North America, followed by digital and home video launches. The film also featured a star-studded production team, including character designer Shigeto Koyama, animation director Sushio, composer Hiroyuki Sawano, and 3DCG handled by SANZIGEN Animation Studio, with XFLAG credited for production.

Fans eagerly await further information on what this latest partnership between Imaishi and Nakashima will bring to the anime landscape.
