Studio Khara is celebrating two decades in the anime industry. To mark the occasion, the studio shared an original illustration featuring Rei Ayanami from Evangelion, depicted with a celebratory drink. The artwork was created by Kazuya Tsurumaki, a board director and director at the studio.

Founder and president Hideaki Anno also posted a message reflecting on Khara's journey since its establishment in 2006. He recalled the company's humble beginnings with just a few staff members in a small office, contrasting it with its current status as a studio with its own facilities that continues to produce new content. Anno extended his gratitude to fans and supporters, pledging the studio's continued efforts towards its 25th and 30th anniversaries.

Since its founding on May 17, 2006, Studio Khara has been responsible for numerous high-profile projects. These include the Rebuild of Evangelion film series, comprising Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone, Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance, Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, and Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time. The studio also produced Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX. Currently, Khara is working on an untitled Space Battleship Yamato film and a new Evangelion project.
