Steins;Gate Re:Boot, MAGES.' upcoming visual novel, has unveiled a new trailer that offers a glimpse into its original 'Gamma Worldline' story route. The trailer, released by Spike Chunsoft, previews a narrative where protagonist Rintaro Okabe finds himself in a drastically altered reality where the time machine was never invented and D-Mails are nonexistent.

This new worldline presents Okabe with a disorienting experience, as he encounters hostility from his usual lab members. The game is set to launch digitally in North America and Europe on August 20 for Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. Console players on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 will receive the game on October 29.

Physical editions of Steins;Gate Re:Boot will be available, including a standard version and a Steelbook edition. The latter boasts new cover art by original character designer huke and includes a sticker as a first-print-run bonus. The game, which uses M2's E-Mote animation system for enhanced character expressions, was initially slated for a 2025 release but was delayed to 2026. Character designs have been updated by huke, and the game features new background graphics of Akihabara and additional locations not present in the original title.

The Steins;Gate franchise, which began with the 2009 game, has spawned a popular anime series, a film, and the alternate story anime Steins;Gate 0. The series has also seen multiple spin-off games and manga adaptations, with a live-action Hollywood TV adaptation announced in 2020.
