The production team for Steel Ball Run: JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken has officially expanded its cast list, introducing the voice actors behind the formidable Boom Boom family. Fumiyoshi Shioya will voice L. A. Boom Boom, while Yoshiki Nakajima and Jirou Saitou have been cast as Andre and Benjamin Boom Boom, respectively. These additions arrive as the series, which adapts the seventh part of Hirohiko Araki’s long-running manga, continues its exclusive streaming run on Netflix.

Behind the scenes, the series maintains its pedigree with a veteran staff at David Production. Directors Yasuhiro Kimura and Hideya Takahashi are helming the project, with series direction provided by Toshiyuki Katou. The production also features series composition by Yasuko Kobayashi, character designs by chief animation director Daisuke Tsumagari, and a score composed by Yugo Kanno.

This adaptation represents a significant moment for the franchise, which currently holds a 9.13 rating on MAL as of June 2026. While the series has seen a surge in engagement—notably recording a trending spike on AniList late this past September—it remains a massive undertaking for the studio, balancing the historical setting of the American Old West with the series' signature supernatural flair. With over 17,000 users currently tracking the show, the introduction of these supporting antagonists adds a new layer of tension to the ongoing race.

As the story progresses through its alternate timeline, the show continues to draw from the 24-volume manga run that concluded in 2011. With the ninth part of the franchise, The JoJoLands, already active in print, the continued expansion of the Steel Ball Run cast keeps the focus firmly on this pivotal transition in the JoJo saga.
