Capcom has unveiled an unexpected crossover between its flagship fighting title, Street Fighter 6, and the latest entry in the long-running magical girl franchise, Star Detective Precure!. Starting December 17, players will be able to engage in a four-part mystery narrative set within the game's Battle Hub, where the Precure team investigates the destruction of an arcade machine. The event will also feature Street Fighter characters Luke, Jamie, and Kimberly rendered in the distinct aesthetic of the anime.

Beyond the in-game narrative, the collaboration extends to physical goods. Fans in Japan can collect special illustration fliers featuring artwork by Capcom illustrator Tamio, which will be distributed at various Capcom stores and the Precure Pretty Store. Additionally, the event will introduce new avatar items for players to customize their characters.

While Star Detective Precure! is currently available to international audiences via Crunchyroll, this specific collaboration remains restricted to the Japanese market for the time being. No details regarding a global rollout for the content or the physical items have been provided.

This event marks a notable intersection for the Precure franchise, which debuted its 23rd installment earlier this year. With Street Fighter 6 continuing to expand its footprint following its 2023 launch and subsequent 2025 release on the Nintendo Switch 2, the collaboration highlights the ongoing trend of high-profile anime tie-ins within the fighting game genre.
