Star Detective Precure! The Movie: The Mysterious Garden and the Secret of 2 People has unveiled its guest cast through a new promotional video. The film, which serves as the cinematic outing for the 23rd main entry in the long-running franchise, will feature Akari Kitō as the 14-year-old Karin, a pivotal character central to the film's mystery. Joining her are Nobunaga Shimazaki as the fairy Alan and Kōki Uchiyama as the fairy Rain, who initiates the plot by recruiting the detectives.
The narrative centers on the "X Mark Incident," an investigation that leads the Precure team to the mysterious "Karin's Garden." The location is currently under siege by strange creatures known as "Dame Dame," forcing the protagonists to uncover the secrets buried within the garden. The film will also include crossover appearances from characters originating in You and Idol Precure♪ and Wonderful Precure!.
Behind the scenes, the project is helmed by director Hanako Ueda, with a screenplay penned by franchise veteran Yoshimi Narita. Character design and chief animation direction are handled by Emiko Miyamoto, while the musical score is composed by the team of Erika Fukasawa and Misaki Umase. The film's soundtrack is rounded out by the ending theme "FIRST PRISM" by Yūka Masui and Chihaya Yoshitake, alongside the insert song "First Step" by Ami Ishii.
Star Detective Precure! continues to maintain a strong presence, with the television series currently streaming on Crunchyroll across most global territories. As the series follows the time-traveling duo of Anna Akechi and Mikuru Kobayashi, this film marks the first major expansion of their detective-themed adventures since the show's February 2026 debut.
