Star Detective Precure! The Movie: The Mysterious Garden and the Secret of 2 People has tapped comedy duo Cotton to join its voice cast. Jinji Nishimura and Kyon will provide the voices for the "Dame Dame," mischievous creatures capable of rendering objects unusable with a simple "X" mark. These antagonists serve as the primary obstacles for the detective team as they investigate the mysterious "X Mark Incident" within the titular Karin's Garden.
The film expands the scope of the 23rd main entry in the long-running franchise, which currently holds a 7.59 rating on MyAnimeList. While the series follows the time-traveling adventures of Anna Akechi and Mikuru Kobayashi, this cinematic outing will also feature appearances from characters originating from You and Idol Precure♪ and Wonderful Precure!. The production is helmed by director Hanako Ueda, who previously worked on Summer Time Rendering.
Toei Animation has assembled a veteran team for this project, with Yoshimi Narita handling the script and Emiko Miyamoto serving as both character designer and chief animation director.
