Star Detective Precure! The Movie: The Mysterious Garden and the Secret of 2 People has unveiled its main trailer, providing a first look at the cinematic outing for the franchise's 23rd installment. The footage confirms the film's ending theme, "FIRST PRISM," performed by Yūka Masui and Chihaya Yoshitake, alongside an insert song titled "First Step" by Ami Ishii. To build momentum, the production has also released dance instructional videos for both tracks.
The film is helmed by director Hanako Ueda, known for her work on Summer Time Rendering and My Hero Academia. The screenplay is penned by series veteran Yoshimi Narita, while Emiko Miyamoto—who previously contributed to Precure All Stars F—serves as both character designer and chief animation director. The musical score is being composed by the duo of Erika Fukasawa and Misaki Umase.
Set to hit Japanese theaters on September 18, the narrative follows the Detective Precure team as they investigate the mysterious "X Mark Incident." Guided by a fairy named Rain to the enigmatic "Karin's Garden," the protagonists must contend with an infestation of creatures known as "Dame Dame" to uncover the garden's hidden secrets. The film will also feature special appearances from characters originating in You and Idol Precure♪ and Wonderful Precure!.
The Star Detective Precure! television series, which began its run in February, is currently available to international viewers via Crunchyroll. The series follows middle schoolers Anna Akechi and Mikuru Kobayashi as they utilize deductive reasoning and magical transformations to thwart Phantom Thieves and safeguard their community.
