The production team for SSS-Class Revival Hunter pulled back the curtain on several key updates this weekend, debuting a second promotional video and confirming eight additional cast members. The announcement, which coincided with a screening at New York Comic Con, also identified the musical talent behind the series: Ryo Kawasaki and Tomoyuki Kono are set to handle the soundtrack, while the ending theme will be performed by THE SPELLBOUND and Boom Boom Satellites.
Joining the previously announced lead Takeo ÅŒtsuka, who voices Gongja Kim, are a host of veteran voice actors including Satoshi Hino as the Sword Emperor and Toshiki Masuda as the Flame Emperor. The supporting cast is rounded out by Megumi Han, Sayaka Kinoshita, Risa Shimizu, Makoto Furukawa, Natsumi Fujiwara, Yuka Iguchi, and Shunsuke Sakuya.
Directed by Hiroaki Sakurai at Studio fu, the series is slated for a January debut on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming block. Crunchyroll has secured the rights to stream the show globally, with the exception of select Asian territories. The project brings together a notable creative team, including scriptwriter Sayuri Ōba and character designer Takahiro Yoshimatsu, both of whom have worked on high-profile genre titles.
This adaptation arrives as the franchise continues to maintain a strong footprint in the English-language market, with Tapas and Ize Press handling the webtoon and WuxiaWorld managing the original web novel.
