The official website for the Spirited Away stage play, directed by John Caird and co-adapted by Maoko Imai, has confirmed its cast for an upcoming world tour. Returning to the role of Chihiro are Kanna Hashimoto, Mone Kamishiraishi, and Momoko Fukuchi, with Marina Mori serving as the understudy. Additionally, Nagi Inoue, Hana Toyoshima, and Kokoro Hirasawa have been added to the production, though their specific roles have not yet been disclosed. The stage adaptation, which previously won Best New Play at the 2025 WhatsOnStage Awards for its London run, is scheduled for a multi-city tour. The itinerary begins at the National Theater in Taipei from December 16, 2026, to January 31, 2027, followed by a Tokyo run from March to May 2027. North American stops include the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto from May 6 to August 15, 2027, and the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles from September 2 to October 24, 2027. The tour concludes with a return to the London Coliseum starting in March 2028.
