Attendees of Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 1 will receive a special treat, with three original short stories penned by the series' author, Ayano Takeda, to be distributed as limited-quantity admission gifts. These stories will be available during the film's third week of Japanese screenings, from May 8th to May 14th.
The film, which premiered on April 24th, is the first installment of the two-part theatrical conclusion to the beloved Kyoto Animation series. It features a newly animated performance scene from the "Sunrise Festival" and depicts Kumiko Oumae taking on the significant role of club president.
TRUE returns to perform the theme song "ToCoda," continuing her long-standing association with the franchise, having provided theme songs for previous seasons and films. The Sound! Euphonium franchise, which began in 2015, has spanned multiple TV seasons, compilation films, and original movies, culminating in this final theatrical project. The second part, Sound! Euphonium, The Final Movie Part 2, is scheduled to open in Japan on September 11th.
