The television adaptation of Chie Shinohara’s classic fantasy manga Sora wa Akai Kawa no Hotori (Red River) has expanded its voice cast ahead of its upcoming return. Souma Saitou, known for his work in Record of Ragnarok, will step into the role of User Ramses, while Shun Horie, recognized for his performance in Yuusha-kei ni Shosu, is set to portray Juda Haspaslupi.

This announcement arrives as the production prepares for its second cour, which is scheduled to debut on September 29 at 1:35 a.m. on NTV’s AnichU programming block, with subsequent airings on BS-NTV. The series continues to be produced by Tatsunoko Production under the direction of Kousuke Kobayashi, with series composition by Yoriko Tomita.

Adapted from the sprawling 28-volume manga that concluded in 2002, the project carries the weight of a franchise that has sold over 20 million copies. With Kenji Fujisaki handling character designs and Yoshihisa Hirano providing the score, the creative team aims to maintain the momentum established during the first half of the series’ run.
