Solo Leveling is expanding with a new anime film titled Solo Leveling: Beyond the System. Crunchyroll announced the project during its Anime Expo panel, confirming that the film will continue the narrative following the events of the series' second season. Production is currently underway, with A-1 Pictures returning to handle the animation.

The film is helmed by director Tao Tajima, who also serves as director of photography, editor, and colorist. Tomoko Sudo is back as character designer and key animator. The production is a collaborative effort involving Crunchyroll, Aniplex, Netmarble, D&C MEDIA, and Kakao Piccoma.

The original webtoon adaptation, based on Chugong's novel with art by the late DUBU (REDICE STUDIO), first aired in January 2024. Its second season premiered in January 2025. Prior to the film announcement, a compilation film covering the first season, Solo Leveling -ReAwakening-, screened in Japan and select North American theaters in late 2024.

This film continuation arrives as the Solo Leveling franchise remains active across multiple platforms. The webtoon concluded its run in December 2021 and is published in English by Yen Press. A live-action adaptation is also in development, alongside the mobile and PC game Solo Leveling: Arise, which launched in May 2024, and the Xbox and PC title Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE, released in November 2025.
