Level 5 showcased a fresh look at Snack World: Reloaded during their recent Vision 2026 II Dream livestream. The upcoming remake of the dungeon-crawling title is confirmed for a 2027 release across PlayStation 5, PC via Steam, and the Nintendo Switch 2. The reveal trailer highlights updated combat mechanics and a new playable mode centered on the series' lead character, Chup, all set to the track "DayonaJimi Naru Jinsei."
This project serves as a significant overhaul of the original Snack World: Trejarers and its subsequent Gold edition. Beyond the visual upgrades, the development team is focusing on gameplay refinements to modernize the experience for current hardware. The original title, known for its unique "hyper casual fantasy" blend of traditional tropes and modern technology like smartphones, first debuted on the Nintendo 3DS in 2017 before finding its way to the Switch.
While the game franchise has seen multiple iterations, the property is also well-known for its 50-episode anime adaptation produced by OLM Digital. Currently, Crunchyroll hosts 27 episodes of the series with an English dub, though a subtitled version remains unavailable on the platform. As part of Level 5’s major cross-media portfolio—sitting alongside heavy hitters like Yōkai Watch and Inazuma Eleven—this remake aims to reintroduce the franchise to a new generation of players.
