SkySet Entertainment has announced plans to stream the Go Forward (Massugu ni Ikō) television anime and its sequel, Massugu ni Ikō: Melon Pan-hen. The licensing and dubbing studio will also produce an English dub for both series, slated for release in late summer 2026. Both series will be accessible with their original Japanese audio and English subtitles.

The English dub cast includes Michael Mishkin as the adventurous mixed-breed dog Mametaro, Kiane Chula King as Mametaro's owner Ikuko, Phebe Fabacher as Ikuko's boyfriend Akiyoshi, and Hayden Davis as Junichi Akiyoshi. Other voice actors announced include Ellie Maeve, Aaron Campbell, Danielle Ferguson, Sonya Krueger, James Takahashi, Patrick Hurt, Rachel Faircloth, Daniel Van Thomas, Lindsay Sheppard, Freddie Heinz, Tiffany Grant, Marquiz Moore, Derick Snow, and Phebe Fabacher directing.

Adapted from Kira's 1991 manga, Go Forward follows Mametaro's devotion to his owner Ikuko and his girlfriend Hanako, while navigating his dislike for Ikuko's boyfriend Akiyoshi. The anime aims to capture the everyday adventures of an ordinary dog. The original anime aired for four episodes in 2003, followed by the five-episode sequel in 2004.

SkySet Entertainment will host the streams on its website for the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Australia. These streams will also feature English cast commentary and interviews. The company indicated that the series would later be available on additional streaming platforms. Kira also launched a successor manga, OH MY DOG! Massugu ni Ikō Kiki no Baai, in 2021.
