The Skull Dragon's Precious Daughter (Hone Dragon no Manamusume) manga is taking a significant break from its regular serialization. Following the release of chapter 44, creator Ichi Yukishiro announced that the series will be on hiatus for the next six months, with a return currently slated for spring 2027.

In a personal statement accompanying the announcement, Yukishiro explained that the decision follows a long period of mounting stress. While the editorial team at Mag Garden had previously attempted to mitigate the workload by reducing page counts and adjusting the serialization schedule, the author noted that the physical and mental toll remained evident in the work, necessitating this extended rest period.

Launched on Mag Garden's Mag Comi platform in 2020, the series has become a standout fantasy title, documenting the bond between a dying dragon and the young human girl, Eve, whom he adopts. With six volumes published as of August 2025, the series has garnered enough popularity to greenlight a television anime adaptation, which remains in development despite the manga's temporary pause. English-language readers can access the series through digital releases from J-Novel Club and print editions via Seven Seas Entertainment.
