Singapore-based venture studio Kasagi Labo has revealed plans for a new original science-fiction feature film, tentatively titled Ars Gratia. The announcement was made during the studio's panel at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
Leading the project is Ilya Kuvshinov, known for his work on Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, who will serve as director and character designer. The development is a collaboration between Good Smile Company and LIDEN FILMS.
Kasagi Labo also used the festival to announce other new projects, including a tentatively titled Casshan 2045 and a new endeavor connected to the classic Ninja Scroll franchise. This follows Kasagi Labo's November 2024 commitment of US$10 million towards anime production.
