The Golden Trailer Awards, recognizing outstanding achievements in film marketing, announced their winners on May 28. Among the honorees was Konami's Silent Hill f, which secured the award for Best Video Game Trailer. This latest entry in the survival horror franchise has garnered attention for its marketing efforts.
Netflix's KPop Demon Hunters took home the award for Best Animation/Family Poster. Additionally, the live-action film adaptation of the infinite-loop horror game Exit 8 (8-ban Deguchi) won Best Foreign Horror. Other notable nominations included the Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc film for Best Foreign Animation/Family, though it ultimately lost to ALICE IN WONDERLAND.
Several other anime-adjacent projects received nominations. The live-action series based on Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga was recognized with two nominations: one for its "Pirate" trailer in the Best Animation/Family TV Spot - TV/Streaming Series category, and another for a series of trailers in the Best Action TrailerByte for a TV/Streaming Series category. Legendary Entertainment's live-action Street Fighter film was nominated for Best Action TV Spot, and Nintendo and Illumination's The Super Mario Bros. Movie sequel received a nomination for Best Animation/Family TV Spot.
