Hypnosis Mic scenario writer Yūichirō Momose and artist Shiwasu Hoshikawa are launching a new manga together titled Gyakusatsu Kigen (Genocide Origin). The series is set to debut in the July issue of Kodansha's Afternoon magazine, available on May 25.
Hoshikawa is recognized for their work adapting the Bungo Stray Dogs light novel series into manga. Most recently, Hoshikawa launched the Bungo Stray Dogs STORM BRINGER adaptation in January 2025 and concluded the Bungo Stray Dogs: Dazai, Chuuya, Age Fifteen manga in October 2024. Yen Press publishes the latter in English.
Momose is the primary scenario writer for the popular rap-themed multimedia project Hypnosis Mic, which began in 2017. This new collaboration brings together two notable creators for an original story.
