Lotte Chocolate has partnered with renowned animation studio Shin-Ei Animation to produce a new web anime series based on its popular Pie no Mi snacks. Titled Pie no Mi: Oshi no Mori he Yōkoso (Pie no Mi: Welcome to Oshi Forest), the series is set to debut on Lotte Chocolate's official YouTube channel on June 4 at 12:00 AM Japan Time.
The voice cast features notable talent, including Yumiko Kobayashi, famous for her role as Shinosuke Nohara in Shin-Ei's long-running hit Crayon Shin-chan, and Rie Hikisaka, who voiced Hana Nono/Cure Yell in Hugtto! Precure. The production also includes a wide array of supporting voice actors and animation staff.
Directed by Kazunori Minagawa and Miki Minagawa, with key animation also handled by the directing duo, the series boasts scripts penned by Yūko Kakihara and Azusa Serikawa. The web anime adapts the four-panel manga of the same name, which is written by Yuri Fujimaru and illustrated by Aya Matsui, with new installments released weekly.
