The production team for the upcoming anime adaptation of Now That We Draw (Kakunaru Ue wa) has confirmed that the band shallm will perform the series' opening theme, titled "Kimiiro Hikari." The track was composed specifically for the show, which is set to make its television debut in January 2027.

Directed by Shunsuke Ishikawa, known for his work on BLUE LOCK THE MOVIE -EPISODE NAGI-, the project is being produced at studio ROLL2. The series features a creative team including script supervisor Deko Akao and character designer Hiromi Nakagawa. The story follows high schooler Yūki Uehara and his classmate Niina Miyamoto, who enter into a fake relationship to gain real-world experience for their respective manga projects.

While the series is a new addition to the upcoming winter slate, the original manga by Kyū Takahata and Yūji Kaba has been running in Hakusensha's Young Animal magazine since 2023. Seven Seas Entertainment currently holds the English-language rights to the source material, with the fifth volume having arrived in July 2026. As the January premiere approaches, the production has yet to announce the ending theme artist or the full broadcast schedule.
