The political thriller Hyōyomi no Victoria (Vote Counter Victoria) is approaching its finale. According to the 33rd issue of Kodansha's Morning magazine, the series will conclude its run in just two more chapters.
Launched in June 2024, the manga follows the high-stakes partnership between election consultant Tsubasa and aspiring politician Kenzō as they attempt to unseat a long-standing mayor who has maintained power for 40 years. The production features the creative team of writer Koichi Suzuki and artist Shū Okimoto, with additional narrative guidance and supervision provided by real-life political consultant Kumiko Suzuka.
While the series is nearing its end, Kodansha continues to support the release, with the seventh compiled volume slated to hit shelves on July 22. Artist Shū Okimoto is perhaps best known for his long-running collaboration on the critically acclaimed wine-themed series The Drops of God, which has seen extensive international adaptation, including a recent live-action series on Apple TV+ and a multi-cour anime adaptation currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
