A new alternative version has been revealed for the Self Portrait project, an ambitious anthology film that brought together 19 animators from five countries to showcase their unique creative voices. This latest entry serves as a direct sequel to Animated Self Portraits: A Portrait of Kawamoto, continuing the series' tradition of highlighting master animators through personal, self-reflective shorts.

The project originally gained recognition for featuring contributions from Japanese animation icons Renzo Kinoshita, Osamu Tezuka, and Kihachiro Kawamoto. By expanding the franchise with this new installment, the series continues to document the diverse techniques and artistic philosophies of world-class creators within a single, cohesive cinematic framework.
